Is 3000 lumens too bright of a projector for a small room?
I have a 800 sq. ft. apartment. My living room, where I’ll have the projector, is about 10 x 25. Im looking for a projector that I will be using on a regular basis for tv(hd satelite box), movies(standard dvd for now), and video games(xbox 360 with hdmi hookups). Im not sure how many lumens I need. I’m just a little afraid of the picture being not bright enough since I will be using the projector on a daily basis and anything but a perfect picture will get annoying.Outside light will not be a problem because I will be blacking out the windows with 100% window tint. Not sure what screen size I’ll be going with but will probably be a 100 inch motorized screen.
Ive been looking at three projectors on ebay that seem good and are in my price range(both w/ 3000 lumens):
Sharp PG-MB66X(DLP)
NEC VT770 (LCD)
Optoma EP-758(DLP)

TV Screen Too Bright (Only When Playing Video Games)?
When I lived in Texas, I had no problems seeing my video games on my television screen. I moved to Alabama and now they’re too bright. I only have the brightness problems when playing video games. I own a Wii and a Xbox 360, and both of those are having the same problem with brightness. The screen will be so bright I can’t read some words, see buttons I’m supposed to press, or on Trauma Center, see the line that I need to see to know where to suture.
This is a serious question. Please don’t tell me to use a different television, because I moved a new TV into my room and plugged in the consoles and still have the same problem (both TVs were bought in Texas, if that matters). Don’t tell me to adjust the settings on my TV, because you’d be insulting my intelligence to assume that wasn’t the first thing I did. On neither TV did it make much of a difference (I still couldn’t see what I needed to).
My question is, “What do I need to be able to see my video games clearly?” A television bought in Alabama, new cords, a HDTV, or what?
-Thanks in advance.

The color on my TV is to bright when I play games on my xbox 360 with it… works fine with movies!?
The tv works just fine with the cable, and dvd player and all that. It’s only xbox video games! I can even watch dvds through my xbox 360 and they work fine, no color problems at all. However when I try to play a game it’s super bright! Almost unplayable. I’ve adjusted the colors and tones, brightness and all that to no avail. I can’t just go out and buy a whole new tv.. lol… any suggestions as to why it’s doing this?
i have an Original Xbox and i use it as a dvd player, but its display is too bright! how can i lower it?

All of a sudden tv display too bright?
A couple days ago I switched my av cables out to play my xbox and then back again to the tv, and the display was really bright! I tried lowering the brightness but it didn’t help? It’s like the color white shows up weird on the tv, I can’t even watch cartoon shows because everything blends into a bright white mush! My tv is a 32″ Olevia LCD flatscreen. Can anyone help?

My screen was too bright, so i tried using the T.V. in my downstairs. The T.V. in my downstairs had the exact same problem, could it be the cable or my xbox or something???
i tried adjusting the T.V. brightness, but when i tried lowering it, itstill keeps how brihgt it is, it just lowers the contrast
