Can i take the laser out of a BENQ disc drive and put it in teh disc drive of a Hitachi on the xbox 360?
Ok, so my laser is acting really weird on my disc drive for my elite. At first it became to weak to read my games but it could read dvds. ok so i set off to tweak the pot. i made it a lil stronger bit by bit so i didn’t burn the laser out. still not working. set it too high and it stopped working. i gave up. came back laser and it was working so i messed around and i got it to be nice and bright. it would read discs forever and then finally give up. so finally i put it up more and more. and now it wont work.(the light) my nephews Xbox is broken too. his has no prob with disc drive though. but his is a BENQ and mine is a Hitachi. so i wanted to know if it really made a difference if you used a different disc drive’s laser.
